By submitting or interacting with content through Rowbridge (“the Platform”), you acknowledge and agree to the following terms:

  1. No Guarantee of Anonymity: While Rowbridge is designed to accept anonymous submissions, absolute anonymity cannot be guaranteed. Rowbridge administrators do not actively seek to identify users but cannot guarantee that identification is impossible.

  2. User Responsibility for Content: You are solely and fully responsible for all content you submit. You must not upload or share any material that is unlawful, defamatory, false, misleading, threatening, abusive, harassing, invasive of another’s privacy, or otherwise objectionable. You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rowbridge, its administrators, and any associated parties from any claims, damages, losses, or legal actions arising from your submission.

  3. No Investigation or Intervention: Rowbridge is not a reporting, investigative, or crisis intervention service. If your submission involves allegations of criminal conduct, abuse, or imminent threats to safety, you should contact relevant authorities or professional support services directly. Rowbridge administrators are under no obligation to act on or respond to such content.

  4. No Verification or Endorsement: Submissions are user-generated and do not represent the views, opinions, or positions of Rowbridge or its administrators. Content is not fact-checked, verified, or endorsed in any way. All material is provided “as is” for informational, reflective, or expressive purposes only.

  5. Right to Moderate Without Obligation: Rowbridge reserves the right, but not the obligation, to review, edit, refuse, or remove any submission, at any time and for any reason, without prior notice. Failure to remove or act upon specific content does not constitute endorsement, approval, or acceptance of that content.

  6. Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rowbridge, its administrators, affiliates, and hosting providers disclaim all liability for any loss, harm, or damage arising directly or indirectly from the use of, reliance on, or exposure to content submitted to or published through the Platform. This includes, without limitation, reputational harm, emotional distress, or any consequential or incidental damages.

  7. Use at Your Own Risk: Accessing, submitting to, or engaging with Rowbridge is entirely at your own risk. By using the Platform, you waive any right to hold Rowbridge or its administrators liable for any damages or consequences arising from the publication, use, or removal of any submission.

MODERATION POLICY REMINDER: Purpose: Rowbridge exists to promote transparency and open conversation within the rowing community. It provides an anonymous space for constructive feedback and shared experiences not a support or complaints service.

Welfare and Safeguarding: • Rowbridge is not a welfare or safeguarding service, and the admins are not able to provide direct support or intervention. • If someone submits something that suggests distress, harm, or misconduct, it will not be posted publicly. • Because submissions are entirely anonymous, the admins cannot trace or contact anyone for follow-up or support. • We strongly encourage anyone in need of help, or wishing to report something concerning, to reach out to the appropriate authorities or welfare channels such as college welfare teams, safeguarding officers, or relevant organisational bodies.   4. Right to Remove: Any post may be removed at the request of the person concerned or if it’s deemed inappropriate after posting.
